Meeting of the MAPFRE Global Risks Claims Area with Munich Re in Germany within the framework of the “Claims Strategic Partnership” colaboration project.

The week of July 9 to 13 was held some working sessions in Germany to which were invited Estefanía García Alcañiz, Head of Services of MAPFRE Global Risks.

Throughout the conference several meetings were held with the heads of the different areas of Claims of the Munich Re with the aim of assessing the possibility of establishing a closer collaboration with the area of ​​Aviation and Transport.

The program included several working sessions, in one of these Munich RE made a presentation on “clusters” in which he explained how the company manages the exposure to the losses when they come into play more than 10 million euros or 15 million USD for its participation. In another of the meetings Estefanía intervened, which carried out a detailed presentation of our company and exposed the actions that are carried out from the Claims Area of ​​the MAPFRE Global Risks Unit.

 

During the Conference, two visits were also made:

  • One to the Innovation laboratory of Munich RE where the “Design Thinking” methodology was used to work on improvements in the quality of customer service and thus enhance differentiation as a competitive advantage.
  • The second one to the Munich airport focused mainly on the “air side“, its operation, characteristics and catastrophe management. On the air side, the runway for take-off and landing, the taxiways, the hangars and the parking areas of the aircraft are understood.

The meetings were very satisfactory
