MAPFRE Global Risks participates in the “Desayuno de Cibeles” seminar offered by law firm DAC Beachcroft

The issue of increasing labor loss ratios and its implication for insurance companies was the topic of Amelia’s presentation to important sector experts during the “Desayuno de Cibeles” seminar, which was held on September 26 by the law firm DAC Beachcroft, which specializes in the insurance industry.

During her presentation, Amelia focused on the importance of factors such as early notification of accidents, the relevance of policyholder collaboration during the process, as well as the agility by insurance companies to resolve compensation processes so as to prevent cases from being taken to court and the resulting fees, among other aspects.

The seminar included perspectives on this topic from the three major parties involved: insurance companies, through Amelia’s presentation; the legal system, represented by Ms. Maria Fátima Beardo Olivares, Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid; and companies, through attorney José María Pimentel, partner at DACB Madrid.

The seminar was attended by multiple representatives from the insurance industry, from risk management, and from the corporate sphere. Other topics covered included the liability system in occupational accidents and the impact of the new Fees Scale for compensations and claims.
