Changes to MAPFRE Global Risks structure

Juan Luis Román, our Chief Technical Officer, and Joaquín Albertos, our Chief Claims Officer, will both be retiring from their posts as MAPFRE Global Risks executives this coming April 30, 2019, after long and productive professional careers at the MAPFRE group.

The Management Committee at MAPFRE Global Risks have consequently approved a re-structuring of the company involving the following changes and appointments:


José Carlos Nájera Herranz will take over as Chief Claims Officer. José Carlos Nájera currently occupies the post of Chief Underwriting Officer at MAPFRE Global Risks

José Antonio Ruibal Gil has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer. José Antonio Ruibal is currently the Chief Regions and Market Officer for LATAM & INTERNACIONAL at MAPFRE Global Risks


Paola Serrano García has been appointed Chief Regions and Market Officer for LATAM & INTERNACIONAL. Paola Serrano is currently the Director of Aviation and Transportation.

Antonio Salgado Gorostizaga will take over the management of the Aviation and Transportation sectors, keeping his current functions as Chief Underwriting Officer at MAPFRE Global Risks for IBERIA and LATAM.

These changes will come into effect on May 1, 2019.
