Video interview Eduardo Pérez de Lema explains MAPFRE RE’s sustainability policies and the impact of the global crisis on the Reinsurance industry

On June 23, Eduardo Pérez de Lema, CEO of MAPFRE RE, moderated the roundtable “Reinsurance Market Trends” with Alfonso Valera, Co-CEO of AON Reinsurance Solutions EMEA, Michael Pickel, Member of the Executive Board at Hannover Re, and Stuart McMurdo, Regional Head Scor Global P&C for EMEA.

They covered topics such as offshoring in the sector and robust activity in the insurance and reinsurance markets despite the tougher conditions we are experiencing, the opportunity that climate change represents for the industry, as well as the sanctions arising from the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the impact of inflation.

Following this roundtable, he gave the video interview we have shared below in which he responds to questions such as what sustainability strategy a company like MAPFRE follows and how the reinsurance market is tackling the global crisis we are currently experiencing.
